What does a therapy session look like?
Meet your Psychologist
(either in-person or online)
Your psychologist will greet you and ask how to address you. Some of them will check if this is your first time and brief about the process of therapy and how it looks like having a therapy session with your assigned psychologist. Believe in their professionalism, they will make you comfortable in the session at their best effort.
Intervention
Your psychologist will introduce you some new psychological concept, skills or guide you by asking questions and encourage you to give the question a deep thought. Your psychologist will intervene your concerns based on their training and learned psychotherapy approaches (e.g., CBT, ACT, DBT)
Client Registration Form
& Screening Form
(e.g., BDI, BAI or DASS)
The client will be asked to fill out basic information and sign a consent form before the session. Additionally, the client's mental health condition will be briefly screened by a self-report questionnaires, such as Beck Depression Inventory (BDI), Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI) or Depression-Anxiety-Stress Scale (DASS)

Online Therapy
We also provide online therapy for individuals.
Although research shows that online therapy is as effective as in-person therapy for most people, there are few conditions we wouldn't recommend for online therapy:
- Hallucinations, Delusions (unless under psychiatric treatment)
- Dissociation (unless under medication)
- Children: Children may have difficulty sustaining attention for the online therapy method, and our psychologists' approach will be play therapy with young children, which requires an in-person mode.
